Wildlife In India

Due to its varied forms of habitats, from deciduous forests to wetlands, grasslands to marine ecosystems; Gujarat is home to myriad species of flora and fauna. Soak in the grand spectacle of the majestic Asiatic lion reclining in his last abode at Gir or watch the wild ass race against the stark, endless beauty of the Kutch desert. Admire the graceful black buck, now a result of successful conservation efforts, in its unique grassland ecosystem or spot the rare, four-horned antelope in its sole surviving avatar on earth.
In all, the state has four national parks and 21 sanctuaries where one can spot a wide spectrum of animals and birds; making it a wildlife lover's haven, as well as a birdwatcher's paradise.
